/ MOUAU 2016/2017 REGISTRATION FOR ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE BEGINS

Eligibility: All candidates who scored 180 and above and made Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike first Choice are eligible.
Requirements: Beginning from Monday 4th July, 2016 and closing midnight on Friday 15th July 2016, candidates are required to register online for the Admission screening. To register, candidates must proceed as follows:

Candidates are to visit the University Website at www.mouau.edu.ng.
Click on the 2016/2017 Admission Screening banner.
Enter a valid email address for records purposes.
Input JAMB Registration number, this leads you to the Remita payment platform where a Remita Retrieval Reference(RRR) number is generated with which payment of N 2,000.00 can be made. Payment can be done by debit/credit card or by taking your RRR number to any bank nationwide and deposit cash. Return to the site to continue registration. Note: transaction charges apply (P.S: if you encounter any challenges after payments, kindly contact the University portal Office).
Register by filling an online Application form and selecting proposed Department and other requisite details.
Candidates are required to fill in their WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Examination details for proper verification.
Information needed include WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Examination number, Type of Exam, Year of Result, Examination Scratch card details (PIN and Serial Number on the card).
Upload either WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results or any other result that qualifies you for the screening exercise.
Candidates awaiting result should upload Scanned copy of Exam Slip in the field provided for Results upload. You would also be required to provide the following: WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Examination number, Type of Exam, Year of Exam, Examination Scratch card details (PIN and Serial Number on the card).
Note: Some fields are pre-filled and cannot be changed.
Fill the form, submit and take print out after executing the Submit button. System sends a copy of submitted forms to your email for records.
Come for the Admission Screening with the following materials:
Print out of filled form as this contains candidate’s unique Admission Screening number and shows as an evidence that candidate has registered for the Admission Screening.
One coloured copy of your JAMB photo page.
WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Result( Photocopy ).
Copy of Birth Certificate /Sworn Affidavit Evidence of Birth.

MOUA Post-UTME 2015: Date, Cut-off Mark, Eligibility And Registration Details


The Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike has announced its 2015/2016 post-UTME application process.

Due to recent JAMB guidelines on admissions in Tertiary Institutions whereby JAMB Shortlists UTME Candidates, those who applied for admissions into first degree programmes in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike and scored 180 and above should check for their names in the University’s web portal (www.mouauportal.edu.ng) to confirm if they have been shortlisted for Post-UTME by JAMB.

The Post-UTME screening exercise will hold at the University campus on Saturday August 15, 2015.

Information on venue for each programme and related issues concerning the exercise would be available on the University website and would also be widely circulated on campus.

Candidates should note that the use of handsets, scientific calculators and other electronic devices will not be allowed during the screening exercise. Candidates should also note that incorrect on-line registration will not be captured in our data base.

ADMISSION STATUS
Once admission list is released by the University, the candidate can check his/her admission status On the front page of the portal, Under the heading “CANDIDATES ADMISSION PROCESS” go to Admission status and click on "Check your admission status" Enter your “JAMB NUMBER”.

Qualifications:
To qualify for M.Sc. admission in Agribusiness and Financial Management options, the candidates must have a minimum of Second Class Honours Lower Division in any Management Science/Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and any relevant course/ or 3.5 and above in Postgraduate Diploma of MOUAU or any other recognized University.
Ph.D in Agribusiness and Financial Management: A candidate must have obtained a master degree which include course work and Research in any options from a recognized University with a CGPA of at least 3.5 (on 5 point scale) or 2.84 (on 4 point scale).
There is no direct admission to Ph.D no matter the class of Degree in the Undergraduate programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for admission to a Postgraduate programme of the University, the candidate must possess five O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.

A. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)
To be eligible for admission to the PGD programme, candidates must be holders of pass or third Class Honours first degree in a relevant discipline from any University or holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) at minimum of Upper Credit level in a relevant discipline. For unclassified HND certificates, a CGPA of 3.50 (5-point scale) and 3.00
(4-point scale) or 60% shall be taken as equivalent to Upper Credit.

B. MASTERS DEGREE (M.Sc.)
To be eligible for admission to the Master’s degree programme, candidates must.
i. Be graduates of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike or any other recognized Universities by Senate and shall have obtained a first degree with at least Second Class Honours.
ii. Possess a first degree with Third Class Honours from a recognized University and at least an Upper Credit at Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field, or
iii. Possess the Higher National Diploma (HND), with at least Upper Credit and Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution, or
iv. Any other certificate or qualification that may be acceptable to Senate.

C. DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE (Ph.D).
To be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy degree programme, a candidate shall have obtained a Master’s Degree which includes course work and research from this or its equivalent from any other University recognized by Senate in relevant disciplines, with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 (5- point scale) or 3.00 (4- point scale).

Academic transcript and reference letters should be forwarded from the Institution of origin marked with the Online Post Graduate application Number ( PAN number ) obtained from the University Portal to the address below

MOUAU 2nd Semester Resumption Date 2014/2015 Announced




MOUAU 2nd semester resumption date for the 2014/2015 academic
session has been announced. All students of the institution are
hereby informed and start making 2nd semester resumption
preparations ahead of the date.

This managament of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture,
Umudike hereby wishes to inform all the students of the institution
that the returning date for all students for commencement of
2014/2015 2nd semester has been fixed for 19th April, 2015. All
students are expected back on campus by this date as lectures are
expected to commence immediately the next day – 20th, April 2015.

Students are advised top adhere strictly to this resumption date.
