The president Buhari has directed that all offices and facilities of
Obafemi Awolowo University be opened for normal administrative and
academic activities to enable a quick resolution of the impasse current
crisis in the school.
He equally directed that the Senate of the University should convene a meeting to recommend a qualified member to the Honorable Minister of Education for appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor.
Consequently, a special meeting of the senate of the institution has been scheduled to hold tomorrow 21st July, 2016.
Depending on the outcome of the meeting, the institution may re-open next week for academic activities.
